Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional deliveries and long-haul routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to optimize delivery timelines
- Perform pre-trip inspections and routine vehicle maintenance checks
- Handle documentation including bills of lading, delivery confirmations, and logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading and delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve route disruptions and delays
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety compliance
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Experience with refrigerated or flatbed transport preferred
