Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Ohio and regional routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, HOS compliance, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo efficiently with proper securing techniques
- Build strong client relationships through professional communication and on-time deliveries
- Navigate complex routes using GPS systems while adapting to weather/traffic conditions
- Complete detailed paperwork and electronic logging accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Flexibility for overnight trips and occasional weekend schedules
- Knowledge of Ohio roadways and regional transit corridors
