Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for long-haul and regional routes across NC/GA
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and HOS requirements
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Collaborate with dispatch to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling and documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members regarding shipment status
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and basic navigation systems
- Strong commitment to safety and defensive driving practices
- Flexibility to work variable schedules including nights/weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Clean criminal background check and satisfactory MVR
