Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or Class B) safely and efficiently to deliver cargo to designated locations in Omaha and surrounding areas.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure compliance with safety regulations and identify any potential mechanical issues.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring weight distribution is correct to maintain vehicle balance.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers during delivery and pickup processes.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B with the required endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, or Doubles/Triples preferred but not always required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting is a plus.
