Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain meticulous trip logs
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs
- Optimize delivery routes to meet tight schedules while ensuring cargo security
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Maintain clean driving record and uphold company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with hazardous materials endorsement (HAZMAT) preferred
- Knowledge of California highway regulations and route planning
