Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good operating condition.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads to prevent damage.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts, logbooks, and incident reports accurately and on time.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times while representing the company brand.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any potential delays.
- Practice environmentally friendly driving habits to reduce fuel consumption and emissions.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driverβs License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on truck type) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if necessary.
