Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight on assigned routes
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries and optimize fuel usage
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and potential delays
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Complete all required paperwork (BOLs, logs, delivery confirmations)
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and random)
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and route navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including nights/weekends
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
