Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (semi-trucks, box trucks) to transport goods
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS systems while meeting delivery deadlines
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Complete paperwork accurately including delivery confirmations and logs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of hazmat handling (preferred but not required)
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Flexibility for early morning starts and weekend shifts
- Must pass background check and MVR verification
