Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on regional routes throughout California and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Secure cargo properly and deliver goods on time to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging device (ELD) records in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
- Conduct regular housekeeping and maintenance checks on the truck and trailer.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable truck driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam (including vision and hearing).
- Strong understanding of DOT/HOS regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Professional demeanor and strong customer service skills.
