Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional and long-haul routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous daily vehicle inspection logs
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Document delivery receipts and maintain accurate shipment records
- Communicate professionally with clients and resolve delivery issues promptly
- Participate in quarterly safety training and compliance updates
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) compliance
- Physical ability to climb, lift (up to 50 lbs), and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Basic navigation proficiency (GPS and paper maps)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
