Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to deliver freight across the Tampa metro area and regional routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure 100% DOT compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring all freight is secure and accounted for.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging devices (ELD) and Hours of Service (HOS) records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable experience in a similar driving role.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), and safety standards.
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid state-issued ID.
