Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional deliveries within Florida and neighboring states
- Maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs and vehicle inspection reports
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques and equipment
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Represent Sunshine Transport with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS systems
- Knowledge of Florida highway regulations and route optimization
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to undergo background check and reference verification
