Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (trucks/vans) following DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Transport freight and materials between distribution centers, warehouses, and client locations
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment and safety protocols
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records
- Communicate with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Adhere to strict delivery timelines and quality standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Strong knowledge of Washington DC metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and communication skills
