Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry vans and reefers) in compliance with FMCSA regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance requirements
- Load/unload cargo with precision and verify shipment accuracy
- Maintain electronic logs (ELD) and submit timely paperwork
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to strict safety protocols in all driving conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices and route navigation systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Flexible schedule availability including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Strong communication skills and customer-focused mindset
- Knowledge of California highway regulations and local San Diego routes
