Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and regional routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging system compliance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Ensure proper cargo securement and temperature-controlled freight handling
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Ohio highway system and regional routes
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and defensive driving
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement techniques and weight regulations
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- High school diploma or equivalent required
