Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry vans & reefers) on established routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Implement defensive driving techniques in urban and highway environments
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with all safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and HOS compliance
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Experience navigating Bay Area traffic patterns
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
