Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul routes across Texas and Southwest
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and adhere to FMCSA safety regulations
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery deadlines
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD-compliant) and documentation for compliance
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques per DOT guidelines
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding shipment status
- Represent Southwest Transport Solutions professionally at all client locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and Hazmat familiarity preferred
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) communication skills highly valued
