Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods within Illinois and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure vehicle maintenance records are updated
- Adhere strictly to DOT Hours of Service regulations and all traffic laws
- Accurately complete delivery documentation and maintain communication with dispatch
- Assist with loading/unloading shipments when required
- Represent SwiftLogistics professionally with clients and at delivery locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Chicago metro area and regional routes
- Basic knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
