Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for long-haul and local routes within Southern California
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections ensuring DOT compliance and vehicle maintenance
- Accurately maintain electronic logs and delivery documentation with precision
- Coordinate with dispatch and clients to ensure timely, damage-free deliveries
- Implement advanced defensive driving techniques in urban and highway environments
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of LA metro area routes and traffic patterns
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred but not required
