Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and vans in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the safety and mechanical integrity of the vehicle.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper documentation and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs (DOT compliant).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Uphold a professional image and customer service standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
