Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
- Adhere to all DOT hours-of-service rules and maintain accurate logbooks.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo integrity during transit.
- Maintain a clean, professional appearance and a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Follow strict safety protocols to ensure the safety of yourself, your cargo, and the public.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during loading and unloading.
- Strong commitment to safety and time management.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced logistics environment.
