Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) safely and legally in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and documentation.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT compliant) and complete all necessary delivery paperwork on time.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding schedules and delivery issues.
- Adhere to strict safety standards and maintain a clean driving record.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Eligibility: Must be able to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Experience: Entry-level candidates are welcome; on-the-job training provided.
- Skills: Basic math skills for weight calculations and reading comprehension for maps and logs.
- Availability: Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overnight shifts if required.
