Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and efficient manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, adhering to safety protocols and weight limits.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and records in strict compliance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding cargo status and delivery schedules.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Clean driving record (MVR check required; no major violations).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.
- Basic mechanical aptitude for performing vehicle checks.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and work in various weather conditions.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
