Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within Maryland and surrounding states
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Load/unload cargo using forklift certification (provided if needed)
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety compliance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch teams via electronic logging devices
- Perform minor maintenance and report mechanical issues immediately
- Represent Baltimore Logistics Solutions with professional conduct at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean MVR (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Baltimore metro area and Mid-Atlantic routes
- Basic forklift operation skills or willingness to obtain certification
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts as needed
