Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries within the DC metro area
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT-compliant logs
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety and customer satisfaction
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal route planning and real-time traffic avoidance
- Maintain professional communication with dispatch, clients, and warehouse teams
- Ensure proper loading/unloading procedures and cargo security protocols
- Participate in ongoing safety training and equipment maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with DC metro area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD) and transportation management systems
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in various weather conditions
