Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently across regional routes
- Complete daily pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all safety protocols
- Handle loading/unloading operations when required
- Utilize telematics systems for route optimization and documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazmat handling (if applicable)
- Basic understanding of trip planning and GPS navigation
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including early mornings/weekends
