Job Summary
We are looking for dedicated individuals to transport goods safely and efficiently throughout the San Francisco metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and delivery vans to transport goods to designated locations in San Francisco and the Bay Area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper securing and handling to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date logs, including Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during pickups and deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or traffic conditions.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of local San Francisco streets, geography, and traffic patterns.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform repetitive loading/unloading motions.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must possess a valid DOT medical card.
