Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and delivery vehicles in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload cargo using hand tools and equipment, ensuring proper securing of goods for transit.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients during deliveries and pickups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and management regarding route changes, delays, or vehicle issues.
- Uphold a clean and professional appearance at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker preferred but not required).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DOT Physical).
- Clean driving record with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of map reading and navigation systems.
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
