Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) for regional and long-haul routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight on time with optimal fuel efficiency
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Manage electronic logging system (ELD) compliance
- Assist with loading/unloading when required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with ELD systems and route navigation
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Flexibility for varied schedules including weekends
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Previous experience in dry van or refrigerated transport preferred
