Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A CDL) in a safe, legal, and efficient manner at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle readiness and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and Electronic Logging Device (ELD) records in strict compliance with DOT regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated customers in a professional manner, adhering to time schedules.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes or delivery issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Current Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (Class A preferred).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and a post-offer drug screen.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Familiarity with cargo handling and freight securing procedures.
