Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and trailers in a safe and legal manner, adhering to all traffic laws.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD/DOT) and stay within Hours of Service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and potential delays.
- Uphold the company's professional image and safety standards at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR check).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must have a valid DOT Medical Card on file.
- Previous experience in long-haul or local truck driving is preferred.
