Responsibilities
- Operate Commercial Vehicles: Safely drive and operate heavy-duty tractor-trailers or straight trucks to deliver freight to customers on time.
- Fleet Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Freight Handling: Secure cargo properly and unload freight at delivery destinations using proper equipment.
- Documentation: Accurately complete delivery receipts, bills of lading, and other required paperwork.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, company policies, and traffic laws.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and drivers to ensure a positive experience.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, Doubles/Triples may be required).
- Driving Record: Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, pass a DOT physical exam, and meet vision/hearing requirements.
- Documentation: Valid DOT Medical Card and current passport or social security card.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use electronic logging devices (ELD).
