Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Execute timely deliveries and pickups while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical integrity and safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring cargo protection during transit.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and electronic logging devices (ELD) records at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any route changes.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with required endorsements (Tanker, Hazmat, or Doubles/Triples preferred but not always required).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation systems and handheld scanners.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to company protocols.
