Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) safely and efficiently on local and interstate routes.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (forklift, straps, chains) to ensure cargo integrity.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and ensure all paperwork is up to date and compliant.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screen and background check.
- 1+ years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to perform minor vehicle troubleshooting.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
