Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and heavy equipment in a safe, efficient, and legally compliant manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings accurately.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of goods.
- Utilize Electronic Logging Devices (ELD) to maintain compliant driving hours of service (HOS).
- Navigate routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and company safety protocols.
- Maintain a clean, professional driving record and a clean vehicle interior and exterior.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and team members regarding logistics and cargo status.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements (Hazmat, Tanker, Doubles/Triple, etc. as required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Current DOT medical card and physical certification (Medical Examiner's Certificate).
- Clean driving abstract (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
- Strong understanding of FMCSA regulations and ELD compliance.
