Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes in Jacksonville metro area
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance needs
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques and documentation
- Utilize GPS systems for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery records via electronic logging devices
- Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding delays or route changes
- Represent company professionally with clients and warehouse personnel
Qualifications
- Valid Florida CDL Class A license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) usage
- Knowledge of Jacksonville metro area and Florida highway systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability including early mornings and weekends
