Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers safely and efficiently across the Midwest and beyond.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts and pallet jacks as required.
- Complete all necessary daily logs, bills of lading, and delivery paperwork accurately.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance while representing the Prime Transportation brand.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to shippers and receivers at delivery locations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) on file.
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience.
- Ability to pass a mandatory DOT drug screen and criminal background check.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays.
