Responsibilities
- Safe and timely delivery of freight to Bay Area destinations
- Pre-trip inspections and vehicle maintenance documentation
- Adherence to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Route optimization and GPS navigation in urban environments
- Communication with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Accurate paperwork completion for bills of lading
- Overnight and weekend delivery support as needed
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- HAZMAT endorsement preferred (required for some routes)
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Knowledge of Bay Area traffic patterns and delivery zones
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
