Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local/regional routes in Chicago metropolitan area
- Ensure timely delivery of freight while maintaining strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Complete pre-trip inspections, documentation, and post-trip vehicle reports
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load optimization
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance
- Participate in ongoing safety training and fleet maintenance programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Current DOT medical certification and required endorsements
- Proficient in using ELD systems and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Chicago traffic patterns and local regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening (company policy)
