Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight on time.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual handling as required.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and stay within DOT regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and defensive driving techniques.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, DOT regulations, and cargo securement.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screening.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and electronic documentation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
