Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload freight using forklift/pallet jack (no-touch preferred)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery performance
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Document all delivery exceptions and paperwork
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL (minimum 1 year experience)
- Clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screen
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Basic smartphone proficiency for app-based communication
- Flexibility for early morning starts
- Local Columbus area residency preferred
- Experience with reefers/dry van a plus
