Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and tractor-trailers on various routes.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring weight distribution and safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B (required).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/HOS regulations and safety standards.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
