Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Ohio and neighboring states
- Maintain meticulous trip documentation including logs, fuel receipts, and delivery paperwork
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure DOT compliance
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and all federal/state transportation laws
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Report mechanical issues promptly and coordinate with maintenance team
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Strong navigation skills and route optimization knowledge
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
