Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across Ohio and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip logs in compliance with DOT regulations
- Load/unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and delivery schedules
- Communicate with dispatch and clients to ensure timely deliveries and exceptional service
- Maintain clean driving record and participate in regular safety training programs
- Collaborate with warehouse teams to optimize loading/unloading operations
- Report maintenance issues and perform basic vehicle upkeep as required
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical, background check, and random drug screening
- Strong knowledge of Ohio traffic laws and route navigation
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work weekends and overnight shifts as needed
- Basic familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
