Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A vehicles safely and efficiently across the Midwest and North Carolina.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance and safety.
- Load and unload freight using proper equipment and techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and delivery documents.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) and company safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and unloading.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and logistics teams regarding route changes or delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Must possess a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC).
- Strong understanding of Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Willingness to travel to Chicago, IL and various locations in North Carolina.
