Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional routes
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling
- Adhere to all federal/state traffic regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate efficiently with dispatch and clients
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries within Chicago metro area
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate vehicle servicing
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license (Illinois)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable OTR or local driving experience
- Clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Chicago area traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs occasionally
- Smartphone for app-based communication
- Basic navigation and delivery documentation skills
