Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks and trailers in accordance with all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing freight.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and electronic documentation for all assigned routes.
- Adhere to strict safety protocols to ensure the protection of cargo, equipment, and the public.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any route changes.
- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B CDL with the proper endorsements (hazmat, tanker, doubles/triples, etc., depending on role).
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than two moving violations in the past three years.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and work in various weather conditions.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if required.
