Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional routes
- Deliver freight on time while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment handling techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean, compliant vehicle appearance and functionality
- Adapt to changing schedules and route priorities efficiently
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Charlotte metro area and surrounding regions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability for early morning, evening, and weekend shifts
