Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, efficient, and courteous manner at all times.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo securely, adhering to proper weight distribution and securing techniques.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all necessary documentation in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated locations within the region on schedule.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as tire pressure and fluid levels.
- Represent Apex Transport professionally while interacting with customers and dispatchers.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Clean driving record with no more than one minor moving violation in the last 3 years.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of DOT/FMCSA regulations and cargo securement rules.
