Responsibilities
- Operate commercial motor vehicles in a safe and legal manner to transport cargo from origin to destination.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety compliance and identify any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring cargo is secure and protected from damage during transit.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to all hours-of-service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Uphold the company's high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Required).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) and DOT physical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clear motor vehicle record (MVR) with no more than 2 preventable accidents in the past 3 years.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Physically capable of performing the duties of the job, including lifting and climbing.
